Okay I don't hate her hate her but the way they have her talk is soooooo annoying okay there was an episode a while ago before she and Derek got together and she was like
"You're saying things to me
You're married
You're married and you're saying things to me"
It's like ugh! does anyone notice that they have the characters speak like that alot its sooo annoying and decribing her as 'Dark and twisty' she makes me gag, I can't stand her.

hahaha, I swear this happened last week between me and a friend of mine.....
(with one eyebrow raised and my lips pouting, I asked my friend to identify the person I was imitating)
Me: "That's one of us down there. The first one of us."
My friend: That depends... are you frowning? Or are you pouting?
Me: I'm pouting
My friend: Then you are Meredith Grey.

I'm not in love with the show in general but I don't hate it. If I catch the show, then I'll watch it. And if I miss it for 5 weeks, big deal.
And Meredith Grey annoys me a little bit. Her lips are ALWAYS in a full pout, she has one eyebrow raised at all times and I think the actress gets the short end of the stick dialogue-wise. I'm not quite sure why the writers do that but I hope its intentional. I'd hate to think that's the best they can do. That weird repetitive thing seems to work better for Sandra Oh's character. Or maybe she just knows how to read her lines. Who knows??

I hate, hate, hate Meredith Grey. Uggh I don't even know where to begin. Her character is the most annoying person I ever watched. Gosh, she so selfish and so annoying. I hate how she describes herself as dark and twisty. No you not dark and twisty, you just got mental problems. And the way she's always pouting an I'm just like no, you don't look cute so stop pouting!! And the way she always cry when something doesn' go her way. One thing I also hate is that she's hypocritical. She always giving people advice and telling them what to do but she ends up doing the same thing. Ugggh her character is so annoying and selfish and she has the most annoying voice. Lord! The only reason why I watch the show is because of Derek and Izzy. But Izzy left and Derek is so hot😍😍😍

she is seen as broken. She starts the first episode as someone who looks like she could fall apart easily. But even within the first episode you see she is tough, but almost too tough. When she gets into confrontation, and its her fault, she plays it off as if it doesn't bug her. And at first you wonder why she deserves Derek, and then you see her fight for her kids, you see her watch her husband die, and you realize she has been through hell, and life for her is punishment. She never seems content. She works and has friends, but the void is never filled, its left empty. So ya she is a pain in the A-s but, Meredith (her character) definitely has a reason to being so bitc--y, its cause she is living a dreadful life

I think it's just a personality thing - you may hate her, but yet you are still watching her, thus ratings are going up.
She has a quirkiness about her that hooks folks like you into watching, and that is the name of the game....
but in answer to your question, no, I don't hate her, she's an actress playing a part, and I don't hate her character.

i don t like her so to speak but she is okay,It s just that she couldnt let go of McDreamy. She is pouting all the time and needs to actually look past joe s bar to find a good man, i just fast foward through her parts mostly.

I agree. She does get annoying. Her voice is so annoying but I guess she can't help that. My favourite is George. He's so sweet.

I can't stand her character. She's just a miserable person and they always have men falling in love with her. I don't get it. She's rude and condescending to nearly everyone on the show. I'm not sure why all of the women on TGIT are supposed to be so strong professionally but in their personal lives they're dysfunctional failures with low morals. .
