Personally I would rather be whipped than spend any time in jail. If that could be the deal. Kids?? Who knows?? You can get in trouble for anything these days! If your kids are too disobedient CPS says call the police and have them taken away. And then the police say they will be right back unless they hit you. The system is too screwed up. If you hit them you will be in jail for a week! Better to become a Monk and move to Tibet!

I think it all depends on the person's behavior. If they're sorry that they f**ked up, then no, i'm against it. If they're being arrogant & don't care that they break the law, then sure why the hell not. If drunken abusive parents can beat the crap out of their kids for no reason, why can't we smack around a damn criminal? Also, these terrorist bastards we capture, we should torture the **** out of them, why?...They have no regard for human life, so why should we care about their lives when all they want to do is kill "infadels". Who cares what these damn hippies think, and who cares what the rest of the world thinks......... we're America!!

OK now listen up here flyboy - I vote No and hope you really see it that way too. I do think it is OK to Spank kids lightly as a form of punishment. It gets their attention like nothing else even when it does not hurt. Can never be done in front of anyone outside the immediate family as adding embarassment to punishment makes it abuse.

cruel and unusual punishment. That's moveing backwards in being civilized. The only reason for my not killing the people that started a fist fight at my sons funeral was fear of the death penalty. The thought stopped me so if someone can kill for something as simple as a few dollars or whatever reason they should be executed.

I think that is a crude way to inforce punishment , however i do think more need to get the dealth pently . They should not be letting rapeist, and child molesters out to do it again.
