Trust me Liberals arent the only ones getting reported. Probably more so than Conservatives because they seem to do more ranting and name calling. But trust me, Liberals aren't the only ones.

I assure you (and I'm one of the "libtards" here, as someone eloquently put it) that there are Republicans and Conservatives here that are getting reported for abuses just as much as liberals. Yahoo Answer is definitely not the problem. The problem is that our system of politics creates a dichotomy of conflict in an area that people feel very strongly about. So tempers get up. People get stupid, conservative and liberal alike, and they say really dumb, obscene, and hurtful things here. Then people start screaming "abuse." I don't see any evidence, however, that one side or the other is having it happen to them more than another. If you are on one side of the coin or another, then you're only going to notice when YOUR side gets reported. That is why it seems the way it is. Express yourself in a reasonable, logical, and respectful way, and you likely won't get reported. If you do, it will be because there are jerks out there, not because Yahoo Answer discriminates against anyone. It's just a fact of life.

Geez and I thought there were some questions a few weeks back that said yahoo answers are too liberal oriented and anti neo conservatives and GOP.

They must be doing something right , if people on either side think ya is pulling for the opposite side.

As to questions that reported for abuse, many are just plain dumb or homophobic or racist or sexist or totally not comprehensible the way they are written.

This is a public forum and it seems to me that people ask questions and other people answer them and Yahoo! does not intervene in any way.

What is it that you think you have been reported for? It would be ridiculous if you got reported for asking a stupid question - but it would be a different matter if you, for example, said something which was libellous or could be viewed as a threat to harm someone. In that case, removing your question would be keeping YOU out of trouble.

I actually prefer this over the message boards as they were full of annoying trolls who were often obscene and almost always off-topic.

What I think is it goes both ways, I too have been a victim of the of the right wing, but I have also seen them complain about us. Yahoo deletes questions if they are reported and I do not think that anybody even reads them. Just because I do not like a question or an answer does not mean that I should report it unless it is flagrant and deserves to be reported.

are you serious?

the truth is it's an open forum on the internet with a bit of a USA centric view.

I know liberals don't believe it but between Republicans, us Libertarians, and the "unaligned conservatives", liberals in the USA are outnumbered significantly.

The odds are thus higher that someone will report an abuse against a liberal because it is more likely that a conservative will complain, it goes both ways but the odds seem higher.

One final point, it has been my experience that liberals in a debate often, though not always, fail to use logic and solid reasoning to prove their point. Simply put they often fail to answer the question and instead attack the person who disagrees with them because they cannot comprehend why others don't see the world the way they do. Conservatives do this to, but not as often in my experience, usually they have a reason for their views other than "it's the way i feel."

I don't think Yahoo Answers is at fault, but the conservatives reporting them are. Us liberals know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, whilst the conservatives always try to shove their ideals forcefully down our throats. On yahoo answers, they do this by reporting our answers. Whatever man. First off, its just Yahoo Answers. Secondly, if its pissing them off to the point they have to click that little flag button, I say we are doing our job.

GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS- DISSENT IS PATRIOTIC.
