well you just used myopic in a sentence twice and i just did once..like myopia meaning "a visual defect in which distant objects appear blurred because their images are focused in front of the retina rather than on it; nearsightedness. Also called short sight."? If you put it into microsoft word and use the thesaurus it means narrow-minded, bigot, etc...write a sentence using a more common synonym and then replace the synonym with the word.

Myopic means "short-sighted" so think of people in the news recently or even someone in your own life, who have been short-sighted. For example, in my honest opinion, the Bush asministration has been myopic in the handling of the war in Iraq. Donald Rumsfeld was myopic in saying that it would be "a cakewalk.", Dick Cheney was myopic in saying that we would our troops would be "greeted as liberators," etc. You could even say "The management was myopic in estimating how much food would be required for the company picnic." Something like that.
