Going on a trip to Mauritius from Heathrow airport, but making a trip to France and back to Heathrow before my trip. Don't feel like dragging snorkeling and summer stuff with me to France, is there any lockers at Heathrow airport where I can leave my stuff for a few days, and grab it just before we go down south?

Thanks

This is copied from the BAA website - www.baa.com (BAA operate Heathrow airport)

Each terminal has a left baggage facility for storing luggage for a number of hours or days. Items are security checked. Left baggage offices also offer competitive unaccompanied baggage rates and services and sell luggage and travel accessories. Charges are £6 per item per 24 hours (or part thereof). The service is operated by the Excess Baggage Company, who can be contacted on +44 (0)20 8745 4599. Opening times are:

Terminal 1 (06:00 - 23:00)
Terminal 2 (05:30 - 23:00)
Terminal 3 (05:00 - 23:00)
Terminal 4 (05:00 - 23:00)

Most major airports have closed down or removed all lockers due to security risks (bombs, etc.).

It appears this is the case for Heathrow, but the alternative looks a bit expensive. See here: http://www.airwise.com/airports/europe/LHR/LHR_08.html

If your firend is flying into Heathrow you may be able to leave the keys at the desk of the airline company she's flying with. Write something like 'To be collected by....' on the front of the envelope and let them see the contents before you seal it. There's a company called Serviceair which acts as agent for companies like Easyjet and Ryanair They might help..
