Just to be clear, "better" is subjective and depends upon one's point of view.
So even though birth control is better than abortion from most points of view, I can think of a few points of view to the contrary, for instance, that of an incredibly selfish, hedonistic guy who doesn't like condoms having a one-night stand with a virgin.
As to your second question, the only people I've ever encountered who oppose birth control as a matter of principle are severely religious. In order to be so religious, one has to abandon reason, so the answer is no.

People who I'd consider reasonable do oppose both (primarily Catholics), so I'd say yes to the second question.
As for the first, birth control is far, far better then abortion. While the latter is more "certain" then the former, there's little logic to let a pregnancy happen just so you can go through the expense and trouble of an abortion procedure.

Yes a reasonable persona can oppose both. I know some catholics who share this belief. I am fine with birth control yet not with the morning after pill or abortion.

Abortion brings in millions & millions of dollars for a lot of people.
Killing babies is a real Money Maker.
And killing babies gets Democrats millions of dollars in campaign money.

not in my humble opinion because in the same breath these same people complain about overcrowding in school because of so many children. They complain about the foster care system and its burden there.

both are stupid. both kill the fetis. one kills it out of the womb, the other kills within the womb. the only awnser to safe sex is a condom. i no they break, but they dont kill anything.
