Most players are signed way way before 18. Play for whatever teams you can and if you feel you're too good, move on. Once you get to a certain level, a scout may spot you and like what he sees.

This assumes you are good enough to turn pro. Are you really?

My best mate is a Semi-Pro footballer and he is a brilliant player with the right attitude, he almost got a scholarship at Stoke City aged 16 but they messed him about. He know plays for Eccleshall near by, the best thing you can do is be a part of a team with a good set up and a promising future and work hard, don't go out on the boozer and keep a healthy regime, always train hard and always work hard on the pitch and make sure if you know there's a scout about don't get distracted by him and don't get distracted by other players mouthing of and respect the referee. Hope this help's some what and the other guy that answered can go F himself.

First of all, you have to drop out of school and play soccer until u have not a penny to ur name. thats how u must do it considering ur 18 trying to look for fame, when a man like Cristiano Ronaldo Worked his way up to become a sub to MUFC. Well, just shoot for being a sub for an MLS team! Right now... if u have no connections.. it would be a miracle to become a pro. just juggle until u can do it sitting on the ground and kick a ball like ronaldinho(off the crossbar) and has speed as fast ae ronaldo and henry. then u may have a chance

Limited contacts or limited ability? Try praying to whatever messiah you worship for the next 70 years, if they don't offer you some divine assistance then at least you have a place in heaven (or not). GOOD LUCK!
