I have to drive for Swift trucking for 14 months since they paid for my school. But I was told by a driver with Schnieder trucking that I can switch my contract over to them and still pay off the loan. I know if I were to quit or just not show up I would owe them, but I think I can make better money with another company. Truckers make good money, but I will be broke for the first year, I'm sure.

Go to Free Advice on a comnputer engine search. They allows you to post a question to a labor lawyer. A lawyer would have to read the contract to see if there is an out. Probably, if you leave, you would be responsibnle for paying for the training you recdeieved at an anormously high rate. Let a lawyer who understands labor law in your state tell you if ytou could leave without poenalty, and if there is a penalty, can you be sued.
