This is funny. I am 30 years old. On my 6th birthday I broke my tail bone roller skating. On my 9th birthday, I broke my arm roller skating. About a year ago, my daughter broke her arm roller blading. Ok, so far this is not really funny, but kinda sad. Well, I read that skating on quads burns more calories than skating on blades, so I went and bought some four wheel skates. When I ws a kid, I could spin, skate backwords, stop with the stoppers etc...Now, when I went to go try them out, the kids who could do these things were laughing at me as I fell on my butt repeatelty, could barely turn, and stopped by running myself into the walls. So, yeah I can skate, but apparantly I suck.

am 35 now. never learnt when i was young. in last 5 yrs i learnt ice skating and rollar skating. is heaps of fun and the feeling of freedom. have not learnt to balance well on skate board yet.
am thinking of skiing next couple of years.

yes! i used to skate every weekend,and was very good at it and won competitions,against my sisters,and we would sling each other all over the rink
