ive never told anyone at school or any of my friends that i like anime. and im pretty sure no one at my school likes it... no one i know of. am i a total geek if i like anime? im a fan of it all by myself.. :(

There is alot of people out there that like Anime. (I for one) At my University we had an anime club. You can meet a lot of neat people cause you like anime. have something with a charter on it. I had a bag with inu on it and got lots of comments from different people. The people at your school may watch anime and not know it.
and if you are a geek so what you are you be that way.
If your friends don't like try to get them into it.

no, youre not a _total_geek if you like anime. come on, each has his/her own hobby, i dont know how anime could be worse. dont make such a big deal of it, and dont be too defensive either! you dont have to be proud of it, yet you have no need to hide it.
i used to be uneasy being an anime fan myself when i was still in school, and some people think its either childish or silly, but really, it entertains me so why stop? im already 23 and have a job but i still watch anime and read mangas when i have time. i also draw manga-style when i feel like it, and ppl appreciate it.
have to balance real world and anime world though =P

HELL NO you're not. Welcome to the club, you're not the only one out there ^_^ Don't be afraid to show who you are; I was like that in my Middle School and grade school. I was an anime fan as far back as the fifth grade (before that I wasn't fully aware that the Japanese style of animation had a specific name). No one else that I knew liked anime, and I was riduculed and criticized for liking it from time to time, but that just strengthened my love for anime ^_^ and I'm STILL goin' strong!!! wahahahahahahahah....*ahem* continue being an anime fan, dude!!!!!! and you're not a "geek" either. 'cause ANIME ROCKS!!!!! and DON'T listen to anyone who puts anime down and criticizes it, because that's THEIR opinion, NOT YOURS.

i only say stuff about me when im asked, or if im just commenting.. or tring to fill in the scilence, and so far, no one has ever called me a geek before... ok maybe once, but she didn't really mean it, and she was calling me that name because i had to carry about 7 books at once.
and plus, even if you are considered a geek, your not completely a geek unless you admit it.... or something like that.

Of course not. You're never a geek if you enjoy doing something that you love. People in their 20's, 30's and older enjoy it, even actors. Robin williams is known for liking anime (namely Evangelion) and other famous stars are known to like it. You'd be surprised who likes anime, I found out several of my friends liked anime when I thought they hated it. Just ask them about it and try introducing them to it, they might already enjoy the hobby you like too.

my friends like anime
at least half the people in asia like anime
people that own stuff like tokyopop and delrey manga like anime[even if they dont they make money off it so..]
people that own toonami and chartoon network like anime[same reason as above]
people around the world like anime for various reasons--not just kids and asians
so if youre a geek
were looking at A LOT of geeks here......
