Just 50 years ago, it was getting COLDER when CO2 levels were INCREASING. (Time periods: approx 1945-1955 and 1960-1965)

Nasa says the temperature of the earth has only increased just 0.65 of a degree in the last 110 years. During some of that time temperatures were DROPPING when CO2 levels were increasing.

The temperature has only spiked since around 1980 and during some of that time (around 1990) the temperature DROPPED.

0.65 degree increase
(1890: -0.2 degree. 2000: 0.45 degrees Difference: 0.65 degrees.)

you have proven that you believe global warming is fake, and no matter what evidence is shown will change your mind, so why should anyone try to debate with you.

Global warming is a myth besides i heard that it WAS getting hotter but 20 years ago they were talking about a second ice age and even like 6-7 years ago they were still thinking it was happening also even if the reports are right and in the last 100 whatever years the temp rose like friggin 2-3 degrees whatever ya know 2-3 degrees wouldn't hurt right now here its friggin 13 so even if it did get 2-3 degrees hotter i think we'd be fine and i don't care how opinionated you think this answer is check it ammendment one!

Bert T, I read your linked NASA press release and here is what it said: "What they found was a bit of a surprise: while snow and ice in the Arctic declined, the albedo didn’t change. "

I mean the whole article was about climate scientists claiming that melthing ice in the artic would change the Earth's albedo and cause accelerated warming. But it concludes this is NOT happening. So that would seem to prove the idea that some of the doom sayers are overexaggerating the threat... Maybe you meant for people to glean something else from that article?

Congrats, you watch Glenn Beck. I think you have to be incredibly naive at this point not to believe it. Either way, can't we all agree that the same solutions to stop or slow gloabl warming are benificial to the enviornment and America? Taking initiative on the issue would better our appearence on the world statge. A move to alternative energy and new cars would be great for the economy and national security. We would be able to produce our own energy here, providing jobs and keeping money in the USA and away from governments that can't be trusted. It will cost money at first, but well worth it in the long run.

Many places on earth are cooled and heated in part by winds and ocean currents. Global warming can cause these winds and ocean currents to change. One affect of this is some parts of the world will cool down since the ocean currents have changed. The biggest area affected by this is Europe. They receive a lot of heat from the Atlantic ocean current. As ice melts in Greenland, it stops this current.

because of the fact until now written history recorded issues, the Earth develop into coated and over populated with blind REPUBLICANS. They have been so crammed with sh*t that they began a build-up of methane and CO2 interior the ambience. This accounted for the surprising upward push interior the CO2 ranges. thankfully, the Earth develop into struck with a great asteroid that wiped the REPUBLICANS off the face of our planet. while guy began to evolve returned the countless people eyes ought to work out and have been open. those human beings grew to become what's time-venerated as DEMOCRATS. of direction there are a number of blind REPUBLICANS nonetheless strolling around at present. they are basically throwbacks to the previous and want to be time-venerated as "conservatives", yet in certainty they are all basically dinosaurs.

look at the correlation throughout history nimrod. Ever take a statistics course? CO2 isn't the only thing that affects the temperature, but it does have a strong impact. That is indisputable, as no scientist worth anything will dispute that.

It isn't a constant upward slope. The issue is that the average temperature has been trending upward, though there are years that are colder than the norm. An average year at the end of the 20th century was warmer by that .65 degree (or whatever the number is) than it was at the beginning of the century.

Annual variations happen all the time in weather. What you need to look at is the long-term trend rather than any given year. And the long-term trend has been +0.91°C in 93 years (-0.35 in 1909 to +0.56 in 2002).

Global warming is a climate shift, not meaning that the Earth is going to get an intense heat wave immediately.

Before you bash on something you should learn about it!
