There are many examples of dreams that seemed to predict future events. Some may have been due to coincidence, faulty memory, or an unconscious tying together of known information. A few laboratory studies have been conducted of predictive dreams, as well as clairvoyant and telepathic dreams, but the results were varied, as these kinds of dreams are difficult to study in a laboratory setting

I believe that this can only happen randomly. For example, I sometimes dream of something and then I think that it would be a good idea to actually do this something, so I do it. The dream is not a prediction. Your case was weird indeed, but I believe it was random too.

When one sleeps, the soul's link with the body, that is the Silver Cord relaxes and the soul wanders in the beyond. Indeed the Aborigines in Australia call the beyond the Dream Land ! When the soul wanders in the beyond it goes into other spheres which consist of many but, three main ones the sphere of action, the sphere of words and the sphere of thoughts. Time there is different and one can sometimes see the actions of the future, that are to come. Hence your dream and its subsequent realization.

Maybe it's an intuition type of feeling, or a strong connection to certain things going on in our lives at the time. I've had them myself, and am still not sure if there is a real answer to this question. Because if there is, I would make sure I dreamed exactly what was next in my life.

It's only a self-fulfilling prophecy, the result of probability, mere chance.
An example of the " if after this, therefore because of this" fallacy. It happened after the dream, therefore was caused (in this case, foreseen) BY the dream.

If you really want something then you may dream about it. I don't think dreams are predictive.

You just seem to work harder toward the eventual dream

Dreams that have activities are usually from God, and he is trying to prepare you for the future.
