I have an 04 Toyota Matrix with no problems. I recently plugged in my cell phone charger, which I've used many times in the same car, and my radio went off and both the AC jack and radio no longer work. The display itself still works, but none of the buttons for the radio work. I checked the fuses and they all SEEM fine, but I'm really not sure how to tell. So, did I blow a fuse (which is an easy fix) or screw up my radio and AC jack? Thanks for any help

Thanks for the answers so far. I'm really not sure which fuse is responsible; the car has an AM1, AM2, OBD (on board dash?), and a couple of other candidates. Those three checked out fine though.

A fuse is the very inexpensive fix, and in the event that the fuse pops again, or that its not the fuse, you wont be out very much money. Most vehicles show the fuse diagram on the fuse panel and in the owner's manual. Look for that first, and you can inspect the fuse to see if the metal bar inside it is broken. If so, replace with a same rated fuse... do NOT use a higher rated fuse. Using such could cause other problems, at the worst, could cause your car to catch fire. Being an 04, you may still be under the 3 year 36,000 mile warrenty for the car. Take it to your dealership, and politely ask how much for diagnostics. If it is under warrenty, you will be happy. If not under warrenty still, you can at least verify what the problem is, before getting it fixed. Good luck.

Sounds like a fuse to me remove the suspected fuse and look through the colored plastic you should see an S shaped thin piece of metal in the middle if it has a gap the fuse is blown.
The fuse will probably be marked accessory check your manual to be sure.

You probably blew a fuse. If all the fuses seemed fine you either didn't look hard enough or you need to take it to a repair shop and have them look at it.
