I am sure you all heard the news of Iwao Takomoto's death(the creator of Scooby doo). I would like to know if there are any more direct to Dvd movies with the character Scooby Doo or is he gone?

Iwao Takomoto only did the CHARACTER DESIGNS.
Joe-Ruby and Ken Spears created the series, and it continued long after they left to form their own (alas short lived) animation company.
Considering the time it takes to produce a new feature, the movies are released every other year, so while one is due this year, it is still early yet.
Besides, the current series Shaggy and Scooby Get A Clue should prove that Warner Brothers Entertainment/Kids WB has not given up on the characters.

I thought the series was funny, but that was when I was like 6 years old. What the heck did I know? I never could stand "Scrappy Doo", they should have left off the "S" when they named him.

i hope not...but just because he died doesn't mean there won't be more...he was in his 90', i'm sure someone else has been drawing them for years. His death wont' be the death of scooby
