My life sux! I haven't done crap! I want to go out n have fun but the only ppl I know claim they are too old and would rather stay at home and do nothing. They are just really lazy is all! What are the rest of you guys around my age doing?

I can tell you what I was doing at 22 (about 7 yrs ago). I was living in NYC and I had dropped out of college two years before. I was working at a crappy record store for $5/hr and going to the bar to get drunk every night. I kept sleeping with random guys because I was drunk. I had a crush on a guy that was still living with his ex so he wouldn't give me his phone number or tell me where he lived. He would just randomly come by my work from time to time and take me out places and drop me off at home after and not tell me when he'd see me again. I had two insane roommates who were also always drunk and they started stripping and getting involved with doing a lot of coke. I had 3 cats and one had kittens so I suddenly had 9 cats crawling all over a two bedroom apartment. A crackhead broke in one night an stole all my jewelery (including my grandmothers diamond ring) and my alarm clock. Later that year, I started a serious relationship with that guy I had a crush on and he turned out to be very jealous and abusive. 22 was not the best year.
Now, I'm 'unemployed' but I pay the rent and bills by selling stuff online. I still live in the same apartment but with a different roommate who is an idiot and he treats me like I'm his mother. My last boyfriend who I was in love with totally dumped me because he couldn't deal with my depression. I'm finally on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds and I've totally stopped drinking and I'm in AA. That abusive ex from years ago started calling me again and we've been hanging out lately. He's not so bad anymore but I won't date him again. I don't go out much because there's not much to do at night but go to a bar around here. I hang out with sober people in AA and it's actually fun.

Life for you is the same as mine. And I'm 43. I want to go out and have fun too, but my wallet is saying different.
