Any athlete that plays their chosen sport by the rules of the game,ones that play to their best ability and with good sportsmanship are the players that have contributed to their sport.There are literally thousands and thousands of them.

Tiger Woods opened doors for many multicultural players. He has overturned the old ideas of what a great golf player looks like.
Oh! Jackie Robinson helped integrate baseball. And obviously that went to every sport.

Well no one has given a sport more than MJ gave basketball on and off the floor. Now Gretsky is important to Hockey. Secretariat to horse racing. Carl Lewis to track and field. Pele to soccer.
But what Ali has given to the world in general is matched by no one else in sports.
That is my 2 cents.
