um, Brett Favre started with Atlanta, and John Elway was drafted by the Baltimore Colts, so neither of them did.

Joe Theismann was drafted by the Dolphins, so he didnt either.

It has happened many many times, but dont believe some of the responses that you get here. Some guys that really did it

Dan Marino, Bob Griese, Troy Aikman, Jim Kelly (Unless you want to count his USFL days), Phil Simms, Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach, Dan Fouts, etc. etc.

These guys did not - Joe Namath, Fran Tarkenton, Jim Plunkett, Johnny Unitas, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Ken Stabler, Warren Moon

Way to many...........heck I may even miss a few just using my memory hahahhahhaha. Back in the older days of the NFL more did it than today. With free agency the way it is now not a lot of players play for the same team their whole career.

I guess I'm too late to lay the beat-down, seems db already has. I wanted to jump on the Favre thing...guess I'm too late

however I will play devils advocate and say for the guys who were drafted by other teams (like elway) but never played for them ---they technically didn't "spend" time with that team in their career.

****for dude below ** **

I know that ---(that favre actually had playing time in ATL) --that's why I didn't say his name --I said Elway's.
