A few weeks ago I was grocery shopping, and a strange old man smiled at me. I smiled back. What else was I suppose to do. He somehow thought that ment that I liked him. He started following me around the grocery store, looking at the things I was looking at but not putting anything in his cart. He kept smiling at me.

Why would he do that?

I thought you were nice looking and wanted to smile to let you know that. That part is cute but the following part is a bit strange.

Be careful of guys like that...very strange!

That's not a normal guy for sure. He's probably old and not right in his head. I hope you made sure he wasn't following you out of the store or anything. That's just strange behavior.

he may have just been lonely and was afraid to start up a conversation. sometimes lonely old people see someone who reminds them of someone in their lives or in the past and are curious about it. i have had several older people act that way, i usually try to make a comment to find out if maybe they have mistaken me for someone they know or once knew. usually they say i reminded them of a person they knew. i politely tell them that i am not the person and wish them a good day.

I do that because I'm a young guy, and I like the ladies! He's probably delusional, and thinks that he looks younger and more attractive, and that he's still "got it", when in reality, he just looks creepy.

It could be that he's just friendly.

It could be that he's just plain creepy too.
