I spent three months in London in the fall of 2005 for study abroad. I absolutely loved it! It was very tourist-friendly, so getting around on the Tube (subway) and the buses wasn't difficult (as long as there weren't delays!) and it didn't take too long to figure out. It's a great city with lots to do! I just wish it wasn't so expensive... but I do miss it a lot and hope to go back one day, maybe even live there for a year or two.

London is fabulous! Lots to do, lots to see, and the best part is that all of Europe is at your fingertips. Be sure to pick up the weekly "Time Out" magazine for the latest events.

Best advice I can give is to find an area where you'd like to live, and do your research accordingly. ie. Islington is now trendy and expensive, yet Hackney which is only a mile or so away is a dangerous crap hole.
