Curiosity ? Mine was my attitude if effecting production and morale. Oh and after many, many years of service. 15+ years. Don't you just hate it that one person can effect your whole life! Maybe not forever that is, but long enough to effect your lively hood.

Insubordination- when I worked offshore doing R&D, we would spend weeks on the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. I'll admit, we were all kind of wacked because of it and our sense of humor was warped more than most. The first time I got in trouble, we got back in the office about 3:00 am. I had driven all night from the dock to the office after being run-off the rig because of an equipment failure.

There was a Mechanical Tech there that thought he was an engineer and had sent us some of his ideas which failed miserably - and he blamed us for not implementing his design properly.

So, in the office, tired, cranky, starving, I put the primary tool that crashed on his desk and proceeded to tape it down over the entire surface of his desk. I used about 3 rolls of tranparent packaging tape. Then, I took his phone apart and taped the device that activated the headset down. So that every time the phone rang and he pick up, nothing would happen.

It turned out that he was having a crummy day too and he reported me for my act. I got written up.

The next time, our boss, whom we all hated, left his car out. We broke into it and wired up some auto-foolers to the engine. They did not go off and he ended up spending about $400 for a tuneup that he did not need. I took the fall for that one too.

I actually quit before I was fired, but if I had not quit I would have been fired because the last time was at the corporate headquaters. Our VP in charge of the project was there, a German man that spoke bad english. He asked me what I thought about the program and I told him It wasn't worth poop (I used the other word) mocking his accent (I was on assignment in California and our office was in Louisiana. The GM in Louisiana called me that morning and reamed me out. I quit shortly after that. During my exit interview, the GM told me he was looking for me to mess up so I could be fired.

It worked out for the best.
