yes it is true, but youhave to analyze an individual chart at length.

the web/newspaper daily prognostication for the 12 signs is not worth very much at all. You can't cast a daily chart for 1/12th the population and expect alot of truth.

But, if you get down to a serious study of one person's chart, you can not deny it is true.

Astrology is a form of psycology if you like, it explains personality, characteristics, habits which are important to paint a picture. Not that I would judge a person purely on their birth sign because a lot depends on when their moonsign is in, upbringing and a lot more.

Astrology helps us understand ourselves and people a lot more. Astrology has helped me a lot.

I have found a lot of truths in astrology, horoscopes I dont really believe in. My favourite Astrologers are Claire Petulengro and Liz Greene.

When I was in year 8 (11 years ago) I remember learning in a science class that the moon is what controls the tides in our ocean. I always had a real fascination with the planets and the solar system so I paid attention in that subject.

Based on this fact - that something so far away from this world, actually has total control of a major element (water - the ocean being high tide or low tide) on Earth, then I can totally accept the possibility that other planets and moons etc may have some "influence" on other factors in our world.

When I read my horoscope - I can always make sense out of it and be able to relate it to what's going on in my life - they are very general but I like to read them and take the advice. It's also entertainment.

A lot of my personality is the same as what my starsign's typical traits would be.

so Yes, I believe they are true.

Its true to a to a certain extent. Astrolgy are like the rules and rules were made to be broken. Its not a 100% accurate, but its not totally false neither. It depends on the person. It can be very true and explain alot

I wouldn't say that it's totally true, but it gives you an idea of the characteristics of a certain person depending on their signs. The reason why it's not totally accurate is because everyone is different due to different life experiences. Hope this helps

It depends on what you think. If you choose to believe in astrology, then it is up to you. Personally I like reading my horoscopes, but I necessarily don't believe in them most of the time.

Depends. What we perceive to be as "true" isn't necessarily the truth. I find that my horoscopes are "true" only when it's convenient for me to believe in them in order to explain a chain of seemingly arbitrary events. They're amusing, but I wouldn't hold much by them otherwise.

This is an interesting question, because your question intimates that it is possibly untrue. Is astrology true? Yes it's true; in as much as it EXISTS, and has existed for thousands of years. A more clear-cut version of your question, and possibly what you INTENDED to ask: Is astrology relevant, and should we subscribe to astrology?

Astrology is an ancient calendar-method, a way to look at the movements of the celestial bodies, in relation to how we live, and a picture of who we may be as individuals. All celestial bodies affect one another through their movements, (just as all people affect one another, most without ever having met) via gravitational pull, etc... and we live on a celestial body, the Earth. So any force that affects the Earth, affects us. This in the plainest of terminology, and comes from the same thinking that brings us the Butterfly Effect, you know "a butterfly flaps its wings in Central Park, and there's a hurricane in the Gulf..."

Basically certain planets, stars, and moons, were assigned names and meanings based on deities, and their representaion of emotional behaviors, etc. Example, Venus was the mythological goddess of Love. Now, Venus' placement in the sky is said to influence how we behave in Love. Is it not possible that the relation of the planet Venus to the planet Earth (and its inhabitants) could play some factor in how we behave in Love? Just as people report getting kooky around a full moon, and it doesn't rain on a full moon (check any farmer's almanac; it's why farmers for ages have chosen to harvest on full-moon days), because of the gravitational affect on Earth from the Moon.

Now, whether it's RELEVANT, and we should subscribe to it is more about how it is currently portrayed and used. The newspaper horoscopes? Trashy smut. Entertainment. About as valid and good for you as bubble gum (fun to chew, bad for your teeth, and an icky habit). But a full natal chart, and cross-comparison to OTHER zodiacs or personality tools, can be a dynamic way to gain insights throughout one's quest to know oneself, and provide advice, or tools, to help one learn how to navigate through a sometimes chaotic and/or lonely world.

The most important thing with any of these tools is not what someone else tells you is true, but what truths speak to you.
