Well, I WOULD say no, but it really just depends on the marker AND the company of the board. If it's a perminant-sharpy, than NO. In my opinion, this is a very common sence sort of question.
Although, nailpolish remover has worked for me on things like this. If nothing else really works, use that and see if it works for you.

I don't think it is a good idea. You need to use a dry-erase marker, if you don't you'll probably ruin your board. If you really want to then you could try and then scrub it off forever, or get some dry-erase board cleaner. They make those special markers for a reason. Dry-erase markers to go with a dry erase board.

rubbing alcohol will usually take off permanent markers and most washable markers in my experience...dont know what kind of effect it would have on the dry erase board though...might want to test it out on a small corner to make sure it wont ruin the board itself

this might artwork in spite of in case you utilize everlasting marker on a white board. purely get a common dry erase marker and write over it. Works every time. I actual have take white boards and drawn thick black strains with everlasting markers to make a chart and each couple months I could redo it using fact the strains get all broken up from applying the dry erase pens. desire it fairly works for ya.

Wash the marker off with whatever the marker manufacturer recommends. In the case of using a permanent marker, a little lacquer thinner (brake cleaner) will take it off.
