No, not the Republican Party. Your Great-Great Granddaddy must have also told you that the Klan was made up of SOUTHERN DEMOCRATS, much like the esteemed Senior Senator from West Virginia, DEMOCRAT Robert Byrd, former Grand Wizard. The Republican Party is actually the Party that ENDED THE SLAVERY THAT THE SOUTHERN DEMOCRATS PRACTICED.

That's the most idiotic question I have seen poised on yahoo. The republican party has placed more minorities in positions of power than the democrats ever have. Do a little research before making such an idiotic assertion.

Yes, you're 100% correct. The new Republican party, which put not just one but TWO blacks into the highest office ever held by blacks are definitely the closest thing to the Klan.

Differing political opinions do not make a person racist. I am a very proud republican and it has absolutely nothing to do with race. It is wrong for any group to elevate itself based on race - black or white.
