I am from Venezuela and Im very angry and sad for this. Yes, a lot of people support Chavez and the power he has now is completely legal, but that's exactly what makes me sad: he can do whatever he wants and make it look like "democracy". He's in control (before this law) of many institutions here in the country, so I doubt that he has legally won the elections (it was like a contest in which you slept with the judges). The thing is that Chavez has being the worst president EVER and now he's allmighty. Now he can accomplish his golden dream and be the owner of the country thanks to the ¡diots who voted for him and the ¡d¡ots who manipuled the elections. I just hope that one day, the rest of my country wakes up and fight for democracy and this hell, (like all nightmares), comes to an end.

Nothing. Bush was given power to rule by decree by the congress and Venezuela or China didn't do anything about it. It's none of our business.

The US should do nothing about it. I feel sorry for the people of Venezuela, but this is somthing that they have chosen. If history holds true they will suffer from this, but only they can change the situation. As long he is not committing mass murder and ruling through fear of death, it is not the international communities place to judge thier country.

I 'm sure that, by the time it gets closer to the election, endorsements for Hillary and barrack will be rolling in from Venesuela and Bolivia. Maybe soon-to-be Dictator for Life Hugo "the Pig" Chavez will name Danny Glover as his new Ambassador to the United States.

There is nothing the US can do. He was given the authority under Venezuelan law. He hasn't threatened any of his neighbors or the US other than shooting off his mouth at the UN.

I personally think that that is their country and this is ours, I am more worried that G. W. has set himself up as a dictator and has plans to invade Iran.
