She should run but like all the good candiates won't run.

Ms Rice running for a public office is giving that particular office to the Democratic Party.
President Bush approval ratings assures any of his supporters immediate defeat. Look at most of the Congressional Republicans up for re-election in 2008. They feel very comfortable publicly disagreeing with the President on his war effort, particularly his "surge policy".

I'm there man if she runs all bets are off for the democrats but you know they will smear and slam her around just because that's what they do best.
