My husband has the same problem... but a ringing phone does the trick for him (even with 3 alarm clocks blaring in the background). Phone rings twice, and he's out of bed. Ok... so it doesn't work ALL the time, but most of the time it does!!!
You have to look at WHY you can't get up... do you hate your job? Maybe it's time to start looking for one that you actually look forward to instead of dreading... (I'm still looking for a job like that). Are you getting to bed early enough? You need to figure out how much sleep you need in order to wake up rested in the morning. Are you sleeping well and through the night, or tossing and turning, or waking up 6x a night? If you're doing either of those, you could spend 12 hours in bed and still not be rested.

I have had the same problem... sometimes I turn my alarm off in my sleep or if I have my alarm set to music I start having a dream that I am at a concert... nothing worked. The only thing that works for me is to actually have an alarm set across the room. Far enough away that I actually have to get out of bed.
I fell back asleep after my alarm went off hundreds of times. At least this way you are actually up on your feet.
Good Luck!

I usually set my for about half an hour early and hit the snooze button half a dozen times before it gets annoying enough to actually get me out of bed.
Personally, I think if you really want to make alarm clocks effective you should forget the quaint little buzzer and make it sound like a dog puking on your bed in the middle of the night. I can tell you from personal experience, that particular sound will cause you to go from deep sleep to wide awake in less than a second!

Nothing can help you, but YOU! You know not to lay back down! If you really wanted to get to work on time you would'n't lay back down!! Put three clocks in your room in different places. Set them to go off 5 minutes apart from each other. When you get your as s out of bed, keep it out of bed! Head straight for the shower!

put your alarm on the other side of the room so you have to get up and walk to go turn it off. then you will be out of bed and not asleep. :)

Go to bed earlier so that you arn't so tired in the morning. I know that's easier said than done.
Put your alarm out of your room, so that you have to get up and go get it.

Have someone call you to wake you up. However, you really must get a good grip on yourself and get up otherwise you'll be out of a job and it'll be downhill from there.

It's all about mindset. You'd have to wanna get up... to get up. I realized this because I get up quicker when I am late for work, and I get up slower when it's still a bit early. It's all in your mind. Of course, adequate sleep is also a factor.
