what's the name of that elegy, i think from the restoration or something, about how when everybody dies they all are the same, whether rich or poor? i read it a few weeks ago in class and was about to reference it in a conversation and forgot the title

Yes, the paths of greatness lead but to the grave. This is from Thomas Grey's Elegy in a Country Churchyard, very foreign to restoration thought, but apt as a mid-18th century precursor of romanticism.
