For the last 4 months, i've only been able to sleep like once every 4-5 days, for some reason, no matter how tired i am, i cant fall asleep!! i'm getting major dark circles around my eyes and i cant concentrate on school or at work, i come home tired as hell but i still cant fall asleep, my doctor says its due to stress and he wont give me sleeping pills, but i mean, everyone has stress so that cant be the problem. This is so annoying because not getting sleep makes everything so much harder. Any suggestions?

you want to go to sleep , well listen , first you have a nice warm bath , get yourself some nice music , soft music. Lie down in bed and relax, think of your body , imagine your body is full of sand . Keep thinking about the sand & how heavy it is . Your body is full of tiny holes & the sand is slowly, slowly flowing out off the little holes in your body , think how heavy your legs are , think of the sand that is flowing from your legs, think of how heavy your arms feel , think of the sand flowing from your legs, Your body is feeling , and if you concentrate really hard you should go to sleep . this works please try for yourself . just think how heavy the sand it

If it is stress, you do need to get yourself relaxed when in bed. The technique of self hypnosis does get you relaxed and you need to imagine each part of your body feeling relaxed bit by bit starting above your head and working right down your body, repeating silently "relaxed" after concentrating on that part of the body/ When your whole body is relaxed you then silently say to yourself on a relaxed way "you are feeling sleepier and sleepier". "You are going to fall asleep", "you can not stay awake any longer", "you are going into a deep sleep" and go on and on putting thoughts of falling asleep into your sub-concsious. Hopefully you will soon know nothing more until you wake up after a very refreshing night's sleep next morning. Best of luck.
