I think she has the weight of the average woman plus she's very tall, so I don't understand why people are saying that she is fat or overweight.

because people are used to the rest of the anorexics of hollywood, and tyra used to be a little bit more toned. personally, i think that she looks pretty damn good!

People aren't saying shes fat its the tabloids that think that since she is an ex- model they expect her to be extra skinny but you know what no normal woman is like that and i think that she is representing a normal woman in a positive way and that the tabloids are talking about models dying and then they go and say that tyra banks is fat. They give people who want the perfect body the wrong ideas and i think that is just urging More people to have eating disorders.

Because she stopped satrving herself to stay around 125 lbs to a range of 145 to 165 lbs (well within the healthy range for her height). You can't stay at the weight she was forever and not have health problems. Good for you Tyra, you're still gorgeous!

Well, I do not think she looks bad, but I know shes about 5'8 or 5'9 and she said she weighed like 160-something, which, with those proportions may be getting a tad big (I know because this pretty much describes me) but in any case, I don't really feel like she needed to say anything, she looks great plus or minus the 30 lbs.

Maybe a lot of people are comparing the way she looks now to the way she looked when she was at the top of her game as a model.
Personally, I think she looks great the way she looks now; she's a beautiful woman.

They're probably just jealous! But I don't think she's fat...just thick. Plus America thinks the perfect model is white and anorexic looking!

It's because judging women's weight is a national pasttime for most Americans. Also, a lot of women love to see a former supermodel gain weight, I suppose tearing her down makes them feel better about themselves. I think she's still a knockout.

Sad really. The media can be so cruel. I actually think she's rather beautiful. Regardless of her size. I think the picture they are talking about is just a bad picture.
