I would prefer one that costs $30 p/p and up, 5 star service and food.

Sorry - you've gotten a lot of bad answers (Hard Rock or Mary Mac's - not funny) and misc. chain restaurants listed. And although Vendi, Vidi, Vicci is nice - the dining room is so loud you'll have to yell across the table at your date. Bacchanalia was a good tip, as was La Grotta (Buckhead location). Personally my favorite nice restaurant is Canoe. Bone's is excellent and so is Aria.

But hands down - Restaurant Eugene was the one restaurant that completely blew me away. It is sized like a boutique restaurant, the service is impeccable, the food is outstanding, and you will truly feel like a VIP. Sexy interior, intimate dining, first class experience all the way.

But do your own research at www.citysearch.com
You can list lots of criteria in there - including price, cuisine, fine dining, etc. plus reviews. You can also search some of what was recommended here and decide for yourself if they were good tips.

HTH!

I recommended Dante's, The Sundial, Bed, Agave, and Emeril's. All of these will be much more than $30 a person. The Sundial probably has a nice Valentine's special dinner with several courses. It's very romantic.

OK...Try these places....Atlantic Seafood Company on Manselle in Alpharetta...excellent seafood and 5 star...Flemings or McKendricks' in Dunwoody..Both nationally renowned Steakhouses...Ray's on the River. A traditiona favorite...The Sundial at the top of the Westin downtown...Very Romantic, great views and great food..For just romance, I'd say they are tops....The Lobster Bar or Bones in Buckhead...A really cool Southwestern/Native AMerican restaurant called Nava in Buckhead...the food is excellent and a little more quiet than the others...Any of the Benihana's though lower scae, good environment and entertainment...

The Sundial, for sure. It is a three story revolving restaurant at the top of the Westin, so you could get a room too.

Bacchanalia hands down. I live in NYC and always eat there when I'm in Atlanta. One of my favorites EVER. Also, ONE Midtown Kitchen is a good pick as well.
