If they were nicer, and not so ticket-happy, I could sympathise with them.

Salt of the earth and they are just doing their job

Some I think enjoy making our lives a misery and that will always be the case

Now if anyone was rude despite you giving a fair explanation that was unreasonable and should be reported

I do try to think that in the course of a days work they must get a lot of grief, abuse and the like and all because we road users are breaking the law and they are doing a job of work. Its no good moaning that we are only trying to do a job when many clearly park on double yellows or double park, overstay our time and all the other excuses that we give as to why we have not moved our vehicle

Give them a break they do have a heart and they do have feelings

Feelings of inflicting pain and misery and enjoying it but feelings never the less

We had these types of bone heads in Corning NY. in years past. They would mark tires with a little piss *** timer. They walked and acted like hungry sea gulls. The old saying still goes. Give a nobody a tin badge and they act like Jack Friday. My 85 year dad always said: They carry badges because as kids they were picked on and they need to get back at the miserable world any way possible. Did you see the movie Tombstone? There was a character named Johnny Ringo and Doc. Holiday told Wyatt Earp that Johnny's soul was so empty it didn't been born yet. Minutes later Doc. Holiday shot Johnny in his miserable forehead.

I'm asked that same question on occasion, and my usual answer is "Usually on my left side."

They have a job to do, and the rules are pretty much set. Where is the line drawn? 5 minutes? 10?

Did the sign posted say "Get your car at this time, unless your husband is disabled, then you can be 5 minutes late."?

Actually speaking for myself I try to be nice to the public, but I've found it often comes back to bite me when I am, so I can understand a somewhat aggressive attitude, especially if you were raising your voice to him. Often times I have allowed someone to take a vehicle on their promise to be back on pay day to pay, and never see them again. Remember, the difference between aggressive and assertive is only one of degree, and depends if you are giving it out or taking it in.

you've seen the adverts they drink horlicks to help them sleep at night. if i were you i would tell them where to stuff the parking ticket. they are only doing their job but because they have to justify their existance with the number of tickets issued reason and logic go out of the window. i fought one recently in the magistrates court when it was issued to me. the car had broken down and when i left it to call for a tow truck i came back to find a ticket on it. after an adjournment the case was withdrawn by the court.

Here in the States you can sell drugs next to a over timed parked car and the car will be ticketed long before your arrested for drug dealing. Makes me wounder what the priorities are in this world

Some are OK but put a unifom on somone who is not used to power and you have made something that is quite horrid and at odds with the world. Mind you, you were late and deserved a ticket but he could have been kinder

i'm sorry yet your question is amazingly shallow. As a police officer i'm obliged to address an finished host of crimes and offences. for sure murders and different severe crimes are decrease than the better minor offences. hence hardship-loose experience dictates that i will cope with much better minor offences than severe ones. The regulation is there to guard people and to be upheld. God help you if one among your relatives should be killed via someone committing a minor site visitors offence!!!!

I understand that there is a need for them but I don't understand why anyone would want the job.
There are good and bad wardens but most are proper Nazis who seem to get off on being w*&^%$s.

If your husband is disabled don't you have a disabled badge?

They have got a job to do I suppose.

I got towed away for parking on double yellows - cost me £150 and a sharp (and expensive lesson) for breaking the law but at the end of the day they should not be so rude and aggressive but I suppose they are with the abuse they get for upholding the law.

Watch the thumbs down appear on my view!!!!
