If you mean kids' cartoons, then my favorite is Fairly Oddparents, favorite character being Dad.

Doraemon the cosmic cat (from the cartoon with the same name) because he is round and cute and has a magical time-portal pocket where he gets the coolest things from.

fosters home for the imaginary friends is the BEST cartoon on TV, hands down. and everyone knows bloo is awesome. frankly, i love coco. then there's the powerpuff girls. those were the days...

my fave cartoon character is Wolverine(x-men). Additionally, Shikamaru and doraemon don't count because they are anime characters, not cartoons. There is a HUGE difference between anime and cartoons.
