How in the world can successful blacks be downtroden? And how can you compare Condi Rice to Collin Powell other than both are blacks?

That's the famous Democrat double-standard! If Condi or Collin had been appointed by Democrats, and Republicans said the exact same horrible things about them, the left would be HOWLING with outrage.

And yes, they prefer to keep ALL minorities downtrodden. Why do you think they promote English as a Second Language classes and welfare? Keep the minorities down - make them believe they *need* the Democrats to survive...talk about RACIST. As a woman, I think affirmative action is total BS. I've been the "token female" at a job...it SUCKS. I would rather not be hired than have someone hire me because the HAVE to.

Collin Powell maybe but never Condi Rice. She is not successful she is a yes person to the worst president ever. Powell at least could think for himself and get out of this administration before he was labeled with it.

I would have voted for Colin Powell, that is, I would have BEFORE he made that awful speech to the U.N. and ruined his credibility.
You must remember the speech to which I refer... the aluminum tubes weren't the right alignment or size for nuclear centrifuges... the mobile labs were making helium... the plane in the footage was destroyed under U.N. sanctions in 1991... the one before which he threw the first draft in the air and said, "This is bulls---, I'm not reading this." (Newsweek )

As far as Dr. Rice, her personal ineptititude as Secretary of Intelligence before 9/11 and her claim that the Clinton administration didn't leave a plan, but instead, "a series of initiatives and suggestions of how to proceed against bin Laden."(You know...a PLAN!) has irrevocably ruined her future presidential prospects for me.
I'm now a John Edwards man, but if Obama wins the nomination I think he's also a very bright guy and offers quite a bit that is necessary for this country.

Allow me time to listen to their platform speeches,do some checking up on the validity of their message, and make a determination based on that , the fact that they're anything other than rich white, has absolutely nothing to do with choosing the best person for the job at hand

This Democrat votes for Democrats.

Would Republicans vote for Hillary Clinton or Carol Moseley-Braun? Or do they want to keep successful women in the kitchen?

I would vote for Powell, he knows, after 'Nam, how to win a war, can't same the same for Rice. Did you hear her testimony at Senate when she said the surge is not an increase in troops, it's an augmentation?

The Democrats go on and on about their dedication to minorities however the moment a conservative african-american does well its not because they are talented. According to Dems they are nothing more than "uncle toms."

Powell is a viable candidate. Rice is not.

Condi is a double talker and a parrot to George Bush. Colin Powell caved into the Bush regime. Why would we vote for either of them. Colin could have won the presidency at one time, he did not want it.
