I presume you mean the Queen of England. She is the head of state. When the British parliament votes on something, she must sign it before it can go into law. She represents the UK when overseas, which makes her the ultimate ambassador. She is currently the Monarach (as there was no male child of the last King) and her husband is a Prince consort. Next monarch will be a king (most likely Charles, possibly William) and he will the head of state, his wife would carry the title of Queen but would not be like the current queen as she would be the consort and not the ruler. So a King and a Monarch Queen have the same function, but the queen who is a wife of a King does not (example the last Queen mother).

Check that out and see if she does nothing!
She's a very busy lady, very popular with her subjects and an example to us all for the hard work and dedication that she gives to her country. Long live the Queen!

Well, i asked this, more or less, a few months ago. And the general reply was, not much.
Apparently, she brings tourism to Britain. One even claimed that she is the reason other counties know about Britain (or something like that), which obviously isn't true. I'd know about Britain weather they had a queen or not.
Apart from that, she does speech's and public appearances.
Wow, she certainly has an easy time of it, doesn't she?
