YOU DO NOT WANT TO ADD TO MUCH MORE WITHOUT BUYING NEW ROTATING ASSEMBLY. PRO-CHARGER, ROUSH ,SALEEN , VORTEC ARE YOUR MAIN SUPERCHARGER VENDORS. A GOOD TUNE IS ABSOLUTE MUST.

The going rate for race engines is $100/hp. So if you have an engine with 250hp, and you want another 250hp, you are in the cost range of $25,000. Now before you start blowing gaskets in the billfold, this is the cost figure we use to build "reliable" race engines. You can plunk $2500 down, bolt a turbo with a used nitrous system and get 500hp, for a couple of seconds or a couple of passes, but then the engine is toast. If you want a true 500hp engine, it is cheaper to buy a 500hp crate engine and spend your money on dyno time and tuning, than to build one from your existing motor. All you are doing is re-inventing the wheel at your cost.
