You put in your offer, but I would be surprised if that was their sole determiner on what someone is paid.
I think you'll be OK, don't spend the money before you're hired anyway... just relax., if they are paying new employees in your range that, you will probably get it.
Makes me sad though, when I left the police department I was only into the low 50s a year... Wow, I risked my life for less than you will get starting out, where's the justice?!

I would let them know that you would like the salary offered on their web site. Let them know that you only suggested 55k as bare minimum starting wage during training. If they say that you are hired to start out at 55k, let them know that you would like a review in one month with the opportunity for a wage increase.
Most good companies will honour the wage posted on their web site.
Good luck!!

Yes, you still can. They base your salary on your expierence. If you are extreamly qualified, you will recieve higher salary. You could have asked for only 30 k, and they will still at least pay 60k if you get that job. That is their pay band for that job.
Hope you get the higher end, like 70k.
Good luck to you
