Look, troop deaths ARE sad, but they are a fact of war.

When you look at other conflicts we've been involved in from WWII forward, the number is just not significant.

I do care how many troops die. The reality is, there have been more murders in the US in the last 4 years than troop deaths in Iraq.

Why no uproar about that?

I care about every soldier who has died in Iraq. I hope that some how they will soon be able to secure their own country and we can leave. The thing is that it is a war and people die in war that is just a fact. Soldiers die and innocents die. I am just glad people were not such a bunch of pus#ys when we were in ww1 and ww2 or our country would not be here.

in basic terms approximately 10% of the army is 11B Infantry. in this conflict, there are a number of container Artillery and different MOS doing infantry like jobs. the full variety of infantrymen helping all operations is one hundred thirty,000. This conflict is unlike worldwide conflict II or Vietnam the place energetic wrestle is happening. a great number of the deaths are IEDs or oblique hearth directly to our bases. additionally the "withdrawal" develop into basically us no longer patrolling interior the main considerable cities. we are nonetheless patrolling everywhere else.

It isn't a matter of not caring. It's a matter of perspective. I have family fighting in Iraq and I find it amazing that people are outraged at 3000 deaths during war. More US troops died in training exercises during WWII than have died in 3 years in Iraq. More people die as a result of violent crime daily in liberal California than in Iraq. Every life lost in Iraq is tragic. But people die in war. It's reality.

When you take into account the fact that our entire monetary system is backed by oil that doesn't even belong to us, the oil in the middle east, you see why our government will go to any length to protect it, including, but not limited to, sacrificing American lives.
