In my second month I developed a Sub-Chorionic bleed. And now my midwife is saying it looks as though I have the very early signs of developing Gestational Diabeties. Is this some kind of weird karmic way of telling me I shouldn't be having this baby?? I love it so much, if anything serious happened to it, I don't know how I would go on. Has anyone else had rough pregnancys, and perfectly healthy little babies...??PLEASE reassure me..

I had gestational diabetes with my son. It is not as uncommon as people think. I was able to control it with my diet so I did not have to give myself insulin shots. I was diagnosed at 28 weeks when they did the glucose test. Then towards the end of my pregnancy, I was measuring big so they did an ultrasound. I had excess amniotic fluid. I also felt the same way... when I was diagnosed with my diabetes I cried for a day. My labor and delivery was another story in itself! I will leave that one alone!
You are not alone with your feelings. This is in no way a sign that you should not have this baby!!! For some reason it is just much harder on some than others. My son is now 7 months and perfect! During my pregnancy, I thought I would never make it for the whole 9 months but I did and everything turned out great!!!

My sister-in-law got gestational diabetes every time she got pregnant... She also had a serious car accident before she got pregnant the last time.... she had all kinds of problems.. internal injuries, heart problems... After she was fully recuperated, they decided to have another child... She had a difficult pregnancy, but she and the baby were fine.. All of the kids were healthy..

The kids are all grown and out of school now..

so her advice.. talk to your doctor, listen to your doctor and all should go well...

When I was in the womb, I ripped the umbilical cord out of my mother and got it tangled around my neck in the 7th month. We both lived and are just fine.

My sister-in-law developed preclampsia during her pregnancy. Both her and her baby are just fine.

My coworker recently had a C-section because her baby stopped growing in the womb. Both are healthy now.

Basically, things get rough sometimes. It doesn't mean that everything won't turn out just fine!
