This Cross is 31/2"long,1/4"wide,5/8"thick.It's very shinney, and could be gold, but I don't know.(there's no gold stamp)Black wood run's down the middle, look'slike black ebony. Of course there is a jesus on it. It is extremley detailed. There's one thing different about this cross, there's a skull and cross bones at the feet of the Jesus.Does anyone know why? I've asked a nun,se had no idea,I've asked a Father,he didn't know. The only thing I know is it's very, very, old.(maybe over One Hundred Years. What's it mean? This is driving me crazy!

Depends on if it is a chritian cross (t) or a greek cross(+). the greek is even, a christian cross is shorter horizontal and longer vertically. also the skull and crossbones was rarely used by pirates though modern media has associated the two. it was used more as a sign of poison. it is most likely anti-christian. could be atheistic or islamic?

wild guess. Could it be the cross worn by a religious pirate. The skull and cross bones is the emblem of the pirate.
