Home depot and lowes both carry them.

Home center stores have a selection of hardware and I believe this is called a toy box lid support and can be regulated as to closing speed.

Try Home Depot or Lowes (or whatever big name home improvement chain store you have in your area). I have gone to them with some pretty obscure needs and they always manage to come up with a solution!
