what kind of fish should i put in my fish tank?........i want exoctic fish for my freshwater tank and no tetras or sharks or suckers(i already have them)

What is most important to consider is what you can put in there that won't start to eat everything else. Be sure to check the temperament of a fish before adding it to a tank like that. If they are aggressive, they will attempt to eat the other fish in the tank. In fresh water there are some nice exotic choices, but nothing like there is for saltwater. Here is a nice site that explains from A to Z how to set up and maintain a tank and what type of fish can be safely added together. A loach can be a nice add to your tank for something that is a bit exotic.

To answer your question, I would want to know the tank size and how many of what fish do you have in there, though I think some types of cichlids look pretty exoctic and upside down cats are pretty cool!!!

well if you are gonna place the new exotic fish with your tetras, you narrow down options. if you are gonna get a new tank, I recommend a shool of six tiger barbs they look really cool but are little agressive if you place then individually. the discus would be another excellent choice, they vary in colors and treatment needs care....some ´people like fish they can breed. also check which fish would get along with the ones you have

i have some pretty cool fish that are freshwater. get gouramis and/or barbs, they tend to get along with each other good. dont mix dwarf gouramis with regular sized no matter what the sales person says. the big one attacked and took gigantic chunks out of ours. you shouldn't get anything too small or else ur shark might eat it.

what size it your tank? If its big enough I like Discus...here is a link that will show you the different colors you can get.

U can get Betas or any african cichlid (spl?) They are pretty cool. I have oscars and a Paku.

blow fish, nemo fish (clown fish), and some more exotic fish these ones are my fav....
