people talk about that incident on big brother with shilpa shetty. but it happens everyday, not just in the UK. i come from kerala, India and live in the United Arab Emirates. It's just not fair that so many people are against us just because of the way we speak. Calling us "mallus", they think we are stupid. Thta's just not true, because in this growing country with a boosting economy, the keralites are the labourers, they are the staff, they make up a large part of making the UAE what it is today. Its not fair that people have to be treated on skin color or pronounciation. What do you think? How do i get back my self-confidence and patriotism?

Rise above it. When ignorant people imply that you're inferior because of your race, take that to mean they're stupid. If you listen to them or let their ignorance affect you, you'll just be making them happy and I'm sure you wouldn't want to do that, would you? I used stuff like this to motivate me to do even better.

Move from the UAE. I've only heard bad things about UAE. You know there are good and bad in every race/color. Plus, the racists are also hyprocites because they harass people and act horribly yet say, "I'm better than you!"

Keep your head up.

Self confidence is internal, and should not be induced by others. You have to understand that the definition of what is priceless is being one of a kind, the only one like it in the entire world. That would make you priceless. Carry that thought when anyone says anything racist or demeaning about you and your kind. It's what I do.
