Well, I doubt this is the correct response. I'm probably being an ignorant American, but from my three hour trip there (a day trip from South Africa) I learned that it is one of the 10 poorest countries in Africa. We went into a woman's house and we saw that it was tiny, and that there were a stack of dried cow "chips" which are burned to heat her house. We also learned that they have a special beer there that has "mountain cabbage" (marijuana) in it. The men drink a lot of it, and then they are gone for part of the year. The children have school 7 days a week, then get more vacation since it is costly to visit children every weekend. In addition, it is very high there, as it is mountainous, and we went to a pub that was the highest pub in Africa. So, that's about all I know, but as I said, it's most likely not true of the entire country!
