No, I vote for the party that is closest to my beliefs and that would be the republicans.

I cannot bring myself to vote for a liberal that goes against everything immoral and unethical with no accountability. Now, if there were more Zel Millers out there, I would vote for them.

If you really are 13, good for you for asking this question. It shows you are trying to stay informed and not stay ignorant.

I've been a convicted felon for 20 years so I've never voted, but I just moved to a state where I will be allowed to vote. After being an observer for 20 years I'm not sure I like either party. I guess I could vote libertarian since I actually agree with them the most but according to popular opinion that would be a wasted vote. So I suppose I'm left with the task of choosing the lesser of two evils. Ultimately I while I'm not happy about the war I doubt either party will come up with any reasonable solutions to that mess. So what affects me the most? Hmm. I own a small business so I would like go with who ever I think is going to help the small business owner. I don't see where either one helps the SMALL business owner, with the exception of minority business owners and I'm not a minority. So what else... Hmm. I smoke pot for various physical and mental illnesses but it doesn't seem like medical marijuana is going to spread further than California and I can't afford to move to California. Wow, to tell the truth, I really don't see what the point is to me wasting my time voting when I'm not going to be getting squat out of it. I'll have to really consider whether I will even vote now that I'll finally be allowed.

It was easier in 2006. Every Republican was in lock step behind the president. All you had to know was the little R behind their name to know that you were voting for a rubber stamp for George Bush.

Now that there is a Dem majority, you are starting to see a few Repubs leave the fold. I still think it will take a few election cycles for the party to win back the trust of the nation.

What a wonderful question!

I vote for an individual, and what he/she proposes as solutions to the current problems and plans for a better future. For all. Party lines blur and corruption can exist in any of them... I think its important that we open our ears and our minds when it comes to the political process...because if we already have our minds made up before the election occurs, why even have a vote? Just count the members of each party, and that one with the higher membership should win!

Vote for the person you believe in, vote for the person you trust, vote for the person that you think will do the best job.

The parties are what is wrong with American politics don't let them play you like a fool.

I either vote for someone's platform... or, take the lesser of two evils, regardless of party, when the platform is not what I'd like.

I try to find the politician who's views match my own. I have crossed party lines on more than one occasion.
