In my humble opinion, I have a hard time thinking of anything Bush has done that was smart.

Well, first of all, there is usually more than one mission involved in a war. I think he was talking about a mission that was accomplished at the time. Dude, wasn't that like 2 or 3 years ago? Get over it and get a life already.

To use George Bush and the term “smart” in the same sentence is to commit a oxymoron. Bush has never stated anything that can be deemed “smart”. Bush claimed victory prematurely, because victory was so narrowly defined any first rate nation could have accomplished it. After all, no one doubted the U.S.’s ability to topple a country with third world military prowess. It’s quite another thing for the U.S., using a skeleton crew, to try to subdue millions of inhabitants in a country seething with sectarian hatred. In performing this last task the mission hasn’t been accomplished, and because of the utter futility of the endeavor, it never will be accomplished. You cannot force peace from a people that have no will for it.

and yet when bush utters a true statement that is provable, people like you spend the next 4 years calling it lies?
