earwax is a type of sweat. it is to protect our eardrums and it is bad to use q-tips. eventhough i still use them to clean my ears

Ear wax is suppose to be a good thing actually. It catches dirt from going into the ear.

But too much wax is not a good thing.

as far a i know it stops dust particles from getting into the ear in the first place and also keeps it lubricated

Believe it or not it protects you from getting particles stuck in your ear that may be damaging to the drum or cause an infection.
