I worked with old people and here is what I learned. The ones that were miserable usually were that way before they became old, only then they were pushy, demanding and rude. The happy ones were the most giving in their life and are not much trouble when they get old, always thankful and willing to be nice about everything. So, from what I experienced, its not old age its just spoiled people turning rude and unkind into grumpy and miserable.

Probably because they are more prone to becoming ill.

They have more aches and pains than when they were younger.

They are not able to move around as well as they used to be able to.

A lot of their friends are passing away.

Many senior citizens are also placed in assisted living homes or nursing homes and may not have visitors that often, if ever.

Wouldn't you be miserable too?

1. They're frustrated that their bodies and their minds don't work the way they used too.
2. They have to deal with stupid people who think that people revert to infants when they get older.
3. They're in pain, arthritis, etc.
