Actually just because you are a teen doesn't mean you have to limit yourself to teen books. Any books that you like and can understand without too much trouble are good books to read. Try some of these authors: Ursula K. LeGuin, Mercedes Lackey, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Jane Lindskold, Trudi Canavan, Dennis McKiernan, David Weber, David Drake, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jules Verne, Robert Louis Stevenson, H. Rider Haggard, Matthew Reilly, James Rollins, H. Beam Piper are just a few to get you started. Happy reading! Enjoy!

Here are some books I liked:
Alex Rider; Operation Storm Breaker *****
The Baby Sitters Club ****
Nancy Drew; The Later File ****
Stargate ****
The Saddle Club *****
The Song of the Lionness ****
Charles Ernest's Girl (so freakin funny!) ******
Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker
Now there is a movie about it. A book (there is a whole series) about a boy named Alex Rider in the UK who discovers that his adoptive Uncle is a spy and takes after him. Very action-filled and exciting.
Baby Sitters Club
A group of thirteen-year olds make a baby sitters club (series).
OK you can just google the rest for it,.
I LOVE these books hope you do too.

Sarah Dessen--
Sarah Dessen is one of my favorite YA authors. I recommend reading any of them. My favorite is The Truth About Forever. Just Listen is her most recent book.
Joan Bauer--
Another favorite of mine. Hope Was Here and Squashed would be my favorites by her. Both are great books.
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock
If you like historical fiction try Carolyn Meyer, Katherine Paterson, Ann Rinaldi, and Shelley Pearsall.
If you like fantasy try Shannon Hale...The Goose Girl, Enna Burning, River Secrets, Princess Academy.
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
If you like science fiction/dystopia
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

If you like humerous books you could try "Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging" by Louise Rennison. It is the diary of a British teen about her family, school and relationships. It's pretty hysterical :-)
If you like serious stories you could try "Saint Iggy" by K.L. Going which is the story of a troubled teen boy who gets kicked out of high school and trys to make a plan to get back in.
If you like paranormal stories you could try "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer (personally my favorite book) about vampires or The Mediator series, starting with Shadowland by Meg Cabot. The Mediator series is about a girl who can hear, see and touch ghosts in an effort to get them to move on. Fantastic series!
Meg Cabot has written loads of books for teens although I've only read her Mediator series and her 1-800-Where-R-You books I hear wonderful things about all her stories.
If you like books with meaning you could try "I am the Messenger" by Marcus Zuzak which is about a teen who stops a bank robbery and gets pulled in to an odd series of events where he is forced to help other people.
If you like fantasy you could try "The Blue Girl" by Charles de Lint or "Tithe" by Holly Black. They are both urban fantasies about fairies in our world.

try "A Great and Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray. If you like it, it has a sequal "Rebel Angels." Other obvious ones are "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants." Also try "City of Masks," it's part of a series called "Stravaganza"

When I was your age I loved Judy Blume. I read everything by her. All her books are about girls around your age and their problems and stuff.
