The dictionary definition is...a person who doesn't know about a particular...what ever it is. For an example I would be ignorant of the law in many ways, but if I went to court for something and tell the judge that I didn't know about that...he might reply with "ignorance is no excuss". Most of the time society uses the word ignorant for a stupid or dum person. In a sense I would be a ignorant person when it comes to working on these new vehicles today, cause I'm totally lost. I would also be ignorant when it comes to accounting or being a Doctor, cause I know nothing about those areas, but does that make me stupid? Everybody is ignorant in some sense, even the President...the President would be ignorant of what it would be like living on the streets. I hope I made myself clear.
