I turned in my first application for an apartment about a month ago and I never heard back from the landord since. I called him several times and always no answer. I put down all my information, ss#, credit card info, and am just afraid that it will be used fraudulently. I know information is never safe but would like to at least get the application back.

Yes, you can ask, but the landlord to whom you applied needs the information for his/her/its records. In case there is ever any question down the line about who applied, who was approved, and who was turned down for the rental the landlord will want to be able to show the applications, any supporting documentation, and the disposition of any inquiry.

And, if I had to guess, I'd say there was probably something on the application you signed stating just that.

You can ask for the application, the land lord might even give you a copy of the application to you. Of course he'll keep the original for himself.

No. The apartment manager that you turned it into will need it for their records.

You can ask for anything. I don't think they need to give it to you though, but I don't know why they wouldn't.

You can ask for anything, doesn't mean you'll get it.

Go for it
